Like they used to!

As an old geezer(37).  I can honestly say that with the exception of one or two bands, I have not heard a life changing record for at least ten years.  Many of you that are around my age will, I imagine, agree.   It was with some glee that I bought an album on itunes for £4.99, solely based on the title of it, which I know, is like buying a book cause you like the cover, but let’s face it we’ve all done it, just to discover, the album is amazing.  The record I’m ranting about is Save the world, get the girl by The King Blues.

The record which was released last year has a sincerity about it, which can only be described as outstanding, as are the lyrics and the instrumentation.  Both are simple but poignant, and together with there punk, ska, folk fusion of noise, make a deliciously refreshing record, that is far reaching and thought provoking.

So my question is, why had I never heard of them until my chance encounter with the £4.99 section of itunes! Hmm…
